Default Thread approval?

I just posted a thread in the Weekly Discussions section and when I clicked to submit it, it said the thread needed moderator approval?

I've only been here a short while, but I haven't had that happen before.
Does that section need approval to post in, or did I do something wrong?

The weekly discussion topic is the only discussion forum that requires moderator approval (as far as I know). I moved your post to stories.

Though if members have some ideas for some weekly discussion topics they would like to see in the future, people can PM their suggestions to me, I'll take them into consideration.

Gotcha. I wasn't sure where to post that.
I considered "stories" but saw it said stories and experiences with a GSD, so I didn't post it there.

Sorry for the confusion. Still feeling my way around here. I'll figure this forum out sooner or later.

You ain't the only one - I've been a member here for 8 years, but the board was sold in December 2009, and there was a major software update in February 2010, and a lot of things are very different than they used to be. So long time members, and yes, even moderators, are sometimes still feeling our way around, lol!

Perhaps it's because I am a VERY new member, but I posted a new thread in the "PB or Mix Rescue Posts - Review" section and got the same message that the moderator will have to review my topic before it is submitted.

No, it's because the purpose of that forum IS for review (note the word "review" in the title), it's where people can post dogs that they're not sure are mixes or purebred, so the moderator/s can take a look at it and decide if it can be posted in the regular rescue section.

I have gotten that message twice on different forums here. The last one my message never did get posted. It was only about a petition I saw and wanted to share so I do not think there was anything wrong with it.

Handle every stressful situation like a dog. If you can't eat it or play with it, pee on it and walk away.

Ah... thanks for clearing that up; however, I'm wanting to know if it is a mix, and if so, what it might be mixed with because I'm thinking about calling about him for our family. I didn't realize it was for the rescue section - sorry!

By the time I saw that thread it was about a month old, so I didn't want to re-post it in a different forum. Feel free to post it again in a different forum, like Current dog affairs, for example.
