Why does this thread keep skipping posts? #62, 64, 66, 69 are missing.

If you want to change the dimension of how pictures are displayed on your account, here is how you can do it:

***********
In your USER CP > Edit Options:

Scroll down until you see the heading for THREAD DISPLAY OPTIONS.

One of the options should be "IMAGE RESIZE" where you enter in the values for the software to automatically resize an image if it meets the width and height that is set... so for example, if I set the dimensions to 400px width by 200px height. This means that any image that is over those those dimensions (one or the other) will auto resize.

We are not going to make pictures auto resize to a standard sizing of 800x600. For one image, that would be ok but in a thread with multiple images, that standard size will cause major load times for users on mobile devices, weak wi-fi signals and/or dial-up connections. If you want it do default to 800x600, follow the steps I outlined above. Literally takes 30 seconds of your time.

Understood. Thanks for at least considering it and explaining why it's not possible to do.

And Good Karma, I see all those # posts. Not sure why you don't.

As I posted last Saturday:

We (the mods and admins) have been talking what to do about oversized pictures for awhile - I went back and checked, and it was exactly a month ago today that Yung told us that people can use the picture resizer feature to change the default settings on their own account, but that does not affect the 800 x 600 maximum size rule, which remains in place and will continue to be enforced. That decision was made before this thread was even started, but hopefully now that everyone has heard it from him directly, the issue will be laid to rest.
