Selling an item- pictures required

On some forums I am a member of, posts created to sell an item require a picture of the items being sold, with a piece of paper that has the name of the forum, your forum screen name, and the date. This helps potential buyers know that the item is legit and weeds out scammers. This is especially important when people first join a forum, have no reputation, and their first post is in the "Wanted to Sell" category. You simply have no way of knowing if they are legit or not.

As far as I can tell, this forum has no such policy. I think it should. It's kind of a hassle for sellers, and sure- more work for a moderator, but the protection gained for the forum community is huge. On such forums- any post created without pics is promptly closed and/or deleted. And any post created without proper pics (including the piece of paper with proper signage) is closed until updated pics are posted.

Any thought on this policy?

I think this is a very good idea. Actually surprised no one thought of it before! We will certainly take it under consideration.

I should have also said, but forgot, it is required that your location be set in your profile to sell an item-- under such forums.
