Default Harassing PM's - who to contact?

There is a person on this site who has been sending me PM's about a comment I made on their breeding program. I said that I would run in the other direction and not use this person as a breeder. I did not elaborate in the thread but did elaborate in the PM's with the said breeder. All posts were respectful and explanitory.

I explained my comment, why I felt it was justified and asked this person to stop sending me PM's. I was civil in all interactions with this person and yet this person is now saying they will "find where I am" which is making me very unsettled.

Obviously this person is not mentally stable and I am unsure of who to report this too. I enjoy posting and think that I have conducted myself professionally and am respectful to everyone - even when making posts about things I do not agree with.

I would like to know who I am to contact about this? I have used the "!" in the top right hand corner of my PM screen to report this but not sure if that is all I need to do or if I need to contact someone else?

Your not the only one who has received hurtful and rude PMs.

You can report them to a Mod or Admin. I would copy and paste the message(s) and tell them the name of the person. A mod or admin should be able to help you and deal the person.

They should not be threatening you like that, and you don't deserve it. I would hate for anything to happen to you or you animals. I hope you get this issue resolved soon. People like that should not be allowed on the board.

I would contact a mod and let them know. Check this thread, on page 2 GSDBESTK9 is listed as a moderator, click on the name and send a PM.

The funny thing is, the thread is long deleted (I tried finding it and it said it no longer exsisted/didn't have access unless I was a moderator/admin. - so I am assuming it was deleted) and out of all of the comments made on that thread, mine was a simple, "I would run in the other direction."

Apparently that warrented this person asking me why I would say that. I explained why (even gave examples off of their own website) and this person felt the need to tell me they will find me, my friends, where I train and such.

Never was there any rudeness on my part or harsh words. If it didn't break rules, I would post the PM's.

I have kept them all and will most definitely be showing an admin. them. Too bad I can't post their responses to mine on their website.

This is probably an issue for admin or shepherds - a mod has already posted a link to this thread in the mod forum, so it has been brought to their attention.

Yes, please don't do that, you'll only get yourself in trouble. If you like, you can PM them to an administrator.

That is scary. I hope that administrators take care of this person very quickly. You don't deserve that kind of treatment.

Out of curiosity, why is it against the rules to post the PMs?

PMs: Private Messages. If someone wanted their thoughts to be public vs private they would post them to the board.
