Default Registration Suggestion

I realize that I may be the oddity, here, in this issue but it took me 6 days of trying to register on my own, and pouring forums for other links to find other admins to help, before I was finally able to get an account (had to be created by someone else).

The suggestion is to make it easier to contact an admin for help in the event you can't do the NOSPAM filter (it does say "contact admin if you are having trouble with the NOSPAM filter"...but you still have to pass that to get to an admin, which is ridiculous if you can't pass it to begin with)! Over and over for days and days I would type in the right thing and it would tell me it was wrong so I couldn't register. It was very, very frustrating. I finally gave up, with no repsonses and no ability to register, and joined another forum. Thankfully, someone finally did get back to me the next week and helped me.

If there's a way to bypass that, at least to contact an admin, it would be awesome...and save a LOT of frustration in case it happens to other people.

(I didn't have my caps lock on, I did have my numbers working, I did try every way from Sunday to type it correctly, including the quotation marks, exluding them, trying all caps, trying all LC, trying both as written...even tried the "this is a trick question" route and typed in the instructions part. Even my husband and daughter tried. Id didn't work in almost a week of trying).

Sounds like a problem with the vbulletin program, I passed it up to Admin so hopefully someone can respond...

The best way to get in touch with the Admin who can help to fix this is to PM shepherds and then you both can update here in this thread.

I tried. He was the first person I tried to contact. I can't recall if he was one who I couldn't get to bc of the need to pass the spam test that was malfunctioning, there was no link to get him or one I did but didn't respond. After trying for about 3 hours per day for 6 days, all the errors sort of blur together, lol.

That was my point, though. There was no way for me to directly contact an admin. I just had to look for admins and see if they had external links to anything (facebook, myspace, personal site, etc). Finally, after 12 days, one responded via the outside link.

I mean contact him now. He will be back the 28th.

He is admin for a LOT of these types of sites so he can't read each thread in each suggestion/comment area, or each notification that he gets.

So the best way for anyone and any of these things that are vbulletin related to get his attention is to PM him.

Contact now to figure out how to resolve this for future people, then maybe update this thread with the resolution.
