attn admin: Amazon links getting messed up

Just a note that the links to amazon, which seem to be run through some type of transformation, are getting messed up in the process.

I don't think it is a board problem, but the Amazon search. Mine did the same thing on that thread, even after I tested it to be sure.
I could be wrong though!

If you have been on amazon under your account, I have found you can't post a working link from your account. It is best to be on amazon "generically" to post a link.

i heard wikileaks was going after a bunch of sites and I think Amazon was one of them.

Anonymous are the ones going after the websites - they are in support of Wikileaks and supposedly Amazon will be a target. Just wanted to clear that up. Amazon, PayPal fend off hacker attacks over WikiLeaks

(interesting stuff to me)

I dunno, I quoted UcdCrush's post to get the link, then clicked the "view text", and then copied the link from there and put it into Amazon and it went right to the book. So the search link to Amazon works fine, just not from this board for some reason?

No, I think - and I could be wrong - it is a group calling itself Anonymous that is doing the hacking. They may be forum members of the 4chan web board. They are doing it to show support for Wikileaks, but he doesn't have anything to do with it.

They went after Visa, Mastercard, Paypal yesterday.

I THINK - hard to follow!
