How does Active topics differ from New posts?

If these are quite the same, could we swap new posts with locked threads?

It seems like I miss whatever everyone else is going on about half the time. I think we asked the question once who reads the locked ones and I think a lot of people do.

Could we have a trial?

It looks like New Posts are alot more limited, there are just 13 on right now. Compared to an entire huge page of Active Topics. But the first 13 are the same.

Alot of time topics are locked cause they are running amock and I love when they fade into the sunset............ but that's me.

I also love to see what went down, to make a topic bite the dust. Sometumes its quite a old west showdown

I like that idea selzer. I find it pointless to have both new posts and active topics up there when they're pretty much the same thing. I actually remember pointing this out when we converted - obviously it didn't accomplish much.

Active Topics pull threads from certain forum areas that we predefine for them to pull from. New posts pull threads with the newest posts.
