Um, just wanted to clarify, I am not saying that is MY opinion- I have not paid enough attention to religious threads to see if they have or have not been treated the same way...just articulating what I *thought* the op was saying.... (so don't ask me to support or provide examples to back up that statement )

It's interesting and I guess brings out the worst in people when "we" discuss religion. The whole series of threads and posts began with myself and one other person questioning a thread that has existed a long time, but is pretty much just a one person (one posting... not that some don't enjoy reading it, btw) showcase for their personal beliefs. The ugliness really began when when everybody started jumping in and challenging one another's beliefs and the rules of the forum. I stand by my opinion, but am actually sorry the whole thing got out of hand. Didn't mean to start ww-III. Guess we can get pretty passionate about things other than our dogs. That's pretty much all I have left to add.

After a long day at the drs office, im not feeling well so im going to make it short and maybe clear up some things.

The thing that started this for me and got me going, was the comment that no one had a problem in the beginning. This is complete and total BS. People DID have a problem with it, I had a problem with it and some others had a problem with it. A few ended up getting banned during the political stuff and a few I havent seen post here in awhile. I was NOT shy about, on board and in PM. So that is here and now debunked. It WAS a problem in the beginning, but it basically came down to a "Get over it" attitude.

Like I said, I would not cry if it got banned all out. Will it or not? Well I dont know that, I'm not apart of that doing obviously.

I do think that if they must stick around, then a better effort needs to be put fourth by all members and mods and admins to differentiate between a difference of opinion and bashing.

Saying that someone believes something is a myth, saying they dont think a particular thread or topic is pointless, etc, doesn't warrant the type of responses they seem to get on here.

[QUOTE=Vinnie;1855708]I just want to remind everyone that this area of the board is for suggestions/comments/criticism from any member who has an idea for us on how we can help improve the board.

This is a problem when going through only the active topics. It is not really apparent where the thread IS when you are replying. Like right now, all I can see is:
German Shephherd Dog Forums - Reply to Topic - Windows Internet Explorer.

So unless you are paying attention to where you are on the board, and that different sections have different rules, which I really wasn't all that conscious of, then you will have people, discussing where discussions are not appropriate?

Guess I better pay attention to where I am on the board now.

It's just the sucky software, makes it hard to navigate the board properly

selzer, you have to scroll all the way to the top and right above the black bar with options like active topics, user cp, search it shows what section the thread is in.

Much of the time I have no idea what section I'm replying in on this board

Yes, but when I am replying, I cannot see it, and unless you are looking for it, it is hard to recognize.

What they could do is have a different background color for each of the different major sections. Nothing glaring, but instead of blue/grey like this, this section could be light green/soft yellow, the section that has chatroom could be lavender and light pink -- I think those colors are supposed to cause you to be more calm....
