Default Suggestion

I thought that maybe you could add regions to the forum for example a northeast section with each state in the northeast has a section for example in the northeast it would be Connecticut, Maine, RI, mass, new hampshire Vermont maybe NY. this way people can post about play groups, events going on or ask about breeders in their area.

just a suggestion

Good idea, I also second that.

Another idea, but not sure the techie name. Many forums and different websites have a avatar or pic of the site on the window tabs and favorites so it is easily recognizable. Why not create one of a GSD for the site.

Sorry to jack your thread but I just thought about it as I was posting on your suggestion.

You can also just put your area in the subject line when you post to limit the responses.

Yes... to your geographic area. I.e., "Wondering who in Alaska has a GSD." If you aren't in Alaska, you might not respond. Is that more clear?

Got it but think the OP was talking about adding a complete sub-forum to the site.

I understand that, but the moderators here don't seem to want to add much more complexity to what they already have to deal with. I was just suggesting a simple fix.

It's a great idea but at this time we are such a huge board with members all over the world, the break up for areas would have to be huge, or so general it would be useless.

Best thing is to do as suggested, put the location in the Title/Subject line so it stands out. And bump it p periodically so those of us who only check out the 'Todays Post' will have it catch our eye.
