Pictures in CDA's

Any time I have posted pictures quoted with a story they have been removed.

Have the rules changed? I'm not feeling indignant, I'm just wanting to know for future reference.

First, if you see a post that you think violates board rules you can just hit the notify (report post) button and it will notify the moderator of that forum. We can't possibly catch everything.

On that note, why are we allowed to post rescue pictures?

Yes, according to our rules, if you don't own the copyright to the picture you must get permission before posting it here.

Rescue pictures posted here from petfinders have been given permission to cross post them to other sites. Other rescue pictures are also usually given permission to post or are taken by the member posting it here.

Just wanted to add the following from our rules;

12. Copyright rules, it is illegal to post a copyrighted photo unless you have written permission from the copyright holder to post on a public forum. Copyrighted text material, you may “quote” a small portion of text with a link to the balance of the article. Copy and pasting the entire article regardless of length is breaking copyright laws, unless the author as given permission to cross post.
