Default Any one care to explain?

I realize that I am not a favorite here and probably don't know how things are run but tonight has really ticked me off.
I followed the rules of reporting a post I thought was uncalled for and after a few hours I emailed Yung about it and haven't seen or heard from anyone. This just goes to show what people have been writing is correct.....

I like ya too

from what I understand with the reporting of posts is that a mod will look at it and decide if it requires action. The reporter will not be notified of action taken..

I don't konw what post you are talking about but maybe that helps?

Maybe a mod can confirm that then I will let you all judge on the post.

I am not sure how the moderation system works, so if one of the moderators could shed some light on that, I think it would be very helpful. When someone clicks on the "notify" button, does the notification go to ALL moderators, or just the moderators for the specific section the post is in?

I think if it goes to the moderator for the specific section, then it would really depend on how frequently that moderator is online before the post is reviews. If it goes to all moderators, the chances that it is reviewed for content quickly are much greater, but there probably still are times of day when people are not on and don't get a chance to check all the posts that have been reported.

Like Brandi said, when a moderator is summoned to check out a post, they have to use their better judgment on whether a comment should remain, be edited, or be removed. And regardless of what happens, the person who notified the post won't get a note that it has been looked at or resolved, whether they decide to remove it or leave it intact.

What area was your notify in? Has one of those Mods been online since then? Remember that Mods have certain areas and only receive notifies in those areas and when they go into their emails. So it does sometimes take awhile before they are aware of there being a problem.

And to answer the one question again -- a notify does not go out to ALL Mods, only the ones listed for that area.
