Default Hate the new PM section....

We used to be able to PM a small group of people and everyone could see everyone elses responses......just like it were a normal thread. Many of us had long on going conversations in them about personal life things and we would check back with each other often in them. Well now we no longer can do that and have 3 or 5 way conversations. I know that there are times in rescue that 3 or 4 people are working together and this hinders that effect if you can not follow the conversation like you used to be able to. I really liked the old way much better it was much easier to coordinate things with more than one person.

i have issues with the new pm's too. having a real hard time trying to figure out how it works. takes a very long time to find things and answers seem to have the original text in the screen box. maybe it'll grow on me...

I was wondering how the pm'ing multiple people would work, I just hadn't tried it. I'm assuming that you tried it and it failed miserably? I know that after the end of the month, there will be a limit on the number of pm's that folks can have, that will also have to be factored in in the way that rescuers and such communicate.

Default pm's

have to agree....it's confusing getting to the pm's....I'm also hoping it will grow on me. Had a pm today, and it took awhile to get to it.

Not sure if this is what your asking but if so I have the answer..What I have done is friend the people I PM frequently, add them as friends. You do the multiple PM like in an email separate the names with a semi colon, type the name and a list of matches come up click on it and continue on.I haven't used this but I assume it works like the old one and it all goes to everyone listed. Try that,it is all under your control panel.

Never assume!

Allie, I got your pm addressed to me and another person. When I hit reply, it only addresses it to you.

I also miss the feature that says if the pm has been read, particularly for a pm that goes to multiple folks.

Ditto, me too! There are some other changes I dislike as well. I really miss the "old" board.

It's impossible to have a conversation with this pm set-up.

I am finding this system, overall, much more difficult to navigate and tiring on the eyes.
