Notifications for pm's

Curious as to why I am not getting notifications when I receive pm's. Its been 2 days now and nothing.
I have received pm's and the only way I know I have them is because I signed onto the website.

I checked my preferences and it is checked off to be notified. What could be the problem???

Same thing happens to me - sometimes I see the flashing mail thing - other times I don't.

Could it be the spam folder in your e-mail ate them? I know my account sometimes the notices go to spam instead of my inbox. No apparent reason but it does happen occasionally.

ETA:

Once I actually sent MYSELF an e-mail, out of the same box I was sending it into, and it literally took the e-mail a WEEK to come through.

I don't get emails notifying me I have a pm. Never have. I login, see the flashing mail icon. BUT it doesn't always flash, so I had to make a habit to check otherwise I wouldn't know something was there for days sometimes.

What email address are you using? You don't have to give me the email address on the board if you don't want to just the @server name, like @yahoo.com or @msn.com.

Do you have germanshepherds.com added to your accept or white list?

A couple of things could be going on, Your server has upgraded their spam software, your server is blocking emails from germansherpherds.com.

Why would a server block this email address? Some providers if they get one spam complaint will block an email address from their server. It happened a while back with Comcast. Say soem one joins the board and decides they don't like it here, get email because they have pm's, instead of coming here and changing their settings they might just say the email is spam.

I know with me it's not a spam blocker as I get the other notify emails.

Not sure about Dawn but what happens to Angela is also what happens to me

I have it setup so I don't get emailed when I have a pm. Seriously, I get enough email!

Jenn, Angela what browsers are you using regarding the flashing envelope? Until today I never had an issue with not seeing it but last night I downloaded Firefox and now it flashes sometimes but not others. Before I was using IE.

You guessed it - I'm using firefox (3.0.6)

LOL, not having the flying envelope isn't enough to make me want to use internet explorer
