Just got word Keeno has met his veteran. Her name is Jen. She cried when she met him and he connected to her also. He is doing advanced obedience. They are amazed at his intelligence. Wow. I am so proud of him.

That's great news! You must be so proud of him! I'm sure you miss him but I hope the joy he's bringing to his veteran reaffirms your decision

What an amazing feeling!!! Good for you and Keano!!!

Did you know from the start this is what he was meant for? Or was there a reason you donated him? Was it like a puppy raiser for seeing eye? Sorry, just curious. It's amazing and you should be super proud of your boy and the amazing service he is going to be for a hero.

Just out of curiousity are there women with combat taskings in the US military?

Default Keeno has met his veteran!!!!!

Hi GSDAR. When I received Keeno from an abusive situation I knew he was meant for something more than being just a pet. The 11 months we had him while getting his health back, neutering and vaccinations there was just something special about him. I used to tell people that in my 50 yrs. of having dogs this guy is different and oh my gosh, so smart. He amazed me everyday he was with us. His problem solving skills were amazing. I always felt that he was meant for something special but I did not know what. I met him 6 months or so before we were able to get him to our place. He and I bonded in our first meeting then. I used to talk to people about him even then and then when I received the call to go get him from his situation I was there in a shot. On our way home we went to McDonalds and both had a soft ice cream cone. He sat there with me as we enjoyed our ice creams as if he was meant to be with me.That was the beginning of his journey. I am so thankful he came into my life and yes I do miss him but he is where he was meant to be.
