Sort of Non-GSD: Spike at the IKC show

The International Kennel Club dog show was this past weekend in Chicago. I brought a couple of my Chinese Cresteds with in support of one of my puppies being shown. Today I had my boy Spike with me.

We were walking around, meeting people and checking out the booths when we stopped at the Save-A-Vet booth to talk to them and the gorgeous GSD they had there. Someone was asking the handler about training the dog and he said "He is trained to respond to commands in German. Watch this ... SITZ!"

Spike's butt hit the ground before the Shepherds' did!!

The handler looked at Spike and then at me, very surprised. I said that I have a GSD at home, train in German as well and use it for ALL my dogs - even the Cresteds!

This is Spike:
