Default GSD's and Cars

Do any of Y’all have a GSD that just LOVES the car? Allie adores the car so much that even if it’s just sitting in the driveway she’ll hop in, plop herself in the passenger front seat and sit there with this goofy smile on her face, looking like Allie Brosch's Simple Minded Dog.

My 1 yr dog doesnt love it, but he tolerates it. He will plop himself down until we get to where we are going. Hes never given me any problems getting in, but he loves getting out. my maltipoo loves the car and cries to get in. Once in hes glued to the window.

our typical car ride

Default Both our girls love it

If you walk by our truck they stop and wait for the door to be opened.

Max loves it, he is a great rider and has been since he was a pup. GSD's and Cars-imageuploadedbypg-free1392926663.475793.jpg
He always sets in the front when my wife isn't with me, and has to have his paws on my arm

Mine cant fit in the front seat any longer, hes just too darn big. But he does like to push his head into the front and rest it on the arm rest.

My girl has somehow associated the back of my car with sleeping, we take her to parks, and hiking trails, twice daily, and all she does is hop In the back, and falls right to sleep, doesn't make a sound. Even on 4 hour car rides

Ours has finally associated the car with us going to do something and seems excited when he knows he is going in the car. He was showing some resistance there for a little while when he was going through the fear period. Now he is ready to roll.
