I completely blame the cats

When a dog saves the life of a man, it becomes clear that partnership knows no bounds.

Mr. Beau (&) Jangles...danced?

He is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog. You are his life, his love, his leader. He will be yours, faithful and true, to the last beat of his heart. You owe it to him to be worthy of such devotion. - Unknown

Blame the cats. Because it was exactly their appearance in the house that triggered competition. Every male's instinct - to be next to his leader (if not a leader himself), and it is very important for the dog where he sleeps. A wolf pack has an order not only during feedding on a fresh kill, but also regarding position they sleep, there's a strict hierarchy how they lay around their leader. Beau didn't bother before he saw cats on your bed.
Of course, you can shut the door for all of them forever, but I'm telling you, by doing this you will cease something wonderful. This may sound silly LiveWell? - HAPPY PETS HAPPY OWNERS, but it provides you with unbelievably enjoyable opportunity to watch your dog and cats playing on your bed and interacting. It is very unlikely that Beau may behave agressively, but, just in case, you should know - don't interfere, Beau shouldn't read it as a support out of you, just watch. I watch my dog and my cat playing together on my bed nearly every day.

Well, I think it was just the open window and the opportunity. He knew I would kick him out if I found him and he was sneaky about it. I had issues with him sneaking on the bed and running donuts around my husband with him still in the bed before we got the cats. I have managed 30 years of GSDs without having them all over my bed. I had cats for about 18 of those 30 years.

My comment was tongue in cheek all the way.
