Do you ever just shake your head?
Do you ever wonder what goes through the minds of clueless dog owners?
Last spring I was approached by a man who was obsessed with my dog. I was polite, chatted for a few minutes and tried to move on. The guy told me he had a German shepherd, but my dog was so much more impressive. Got the creepy vibe from the guy and I booked. I've seen him around a time or two from a distance, but I've gone out of my way to avoid him.
School started again on Thursday and who should I see but the creepy dude. He had with him his gsd and a brand new black female. She was charming, growling and snapping at every one. This was at an elementary school, mind you. I was so glad I had chosen to leave my dog at home.
Why would you decide to bring what appeared to be roughly a six to eight month unsocialized dog to a place like that? And why do I feel like there will be puppies offered up soon enough? I'm sure the decision to get a female to go with his wonky looking male was not a chance decision.
I know all of these questions are basically rhetorical, but why can't some people just get it already?
I am still trying to figure it out.
Yup, a bunch of litters of unstable irrational dogs with poor genetics. Unfortunately he will get top dollar and really screw over the potential owners if they are not savvy and know he is an unethical BYB. It's truly a shame, all you can do is report it to the governing bodies and inform potential clients that you offer much better and show them how and why.
