Default Nothing beats a "welcome back" greeting from a dog...

Dogs give the best welcome back home greetings! I just picked Stella up from a 12 night stay at a private kennel. She couldn't stop licking, and jumping, and whining!!!! Carried on like this for the whole afternoon. I loved it. The look on her face when she first saw me was priceless. As much as I hated to end my vacation, the doggy welcome makes it worth it.
Question....Stella did not take to the kennel very well at first. Was very quiet and suspicious for about 5 days. Then she started to relax and the trainer there saw her silly personality come out. Is this normal? She also was very finicky about her food, but that I am not surprised about.
Anyhow, she fell right back into "normal" life when we got home.

Love love love the doggie welcome

LOL! I took a video of my dogs when I came home from work today...you'd think I was gone for a week, instead of a few hours. Actually, when I was gone for a week, it was the same thing...ball, ball, ball. I was a bit sad when Karlo didn't treat my week long absence as a major deal/then his breeder said that is good, better to be ok with it than anxious and unstable.
My dogs aren't lickers thank goodness!

There is nothing like it, makes coming home to our pooches such a nice experience. I had tears in my eyes watching that video that Zeeva posted.

My 7.5 month old GSD Tess gives such an awesome welcome home, she just can't contain herself. When my Lab was alive, I would come home from work and he'd be watching for me out of the second floor window, I'd get out of the car and he'd be gone, having ran down the stairs to the door to sit and greet me when I entered the house. You gotta love it!

They get so excieted! Over just us, isn't that a spirit lifter?!! The last year or so of Life of Cody he didn't run like he used to but if my daughter let him out before I got up and he didn't know I was up and came outside he'd come hurring up, front legs pumping' , whinning and all excieted! I sure miss that!

I love it when my dogs welcome me home from work especially after a rough day!
