So with all the crappy things going on lately with Storm and her paw, and Zira with her ear (it's never just one thing!)..... I thought I'd post something positive that happened today.

To get away from all the stuff happening here, and to clear my mind a bit... Duke and I went for a long walk today in the beautiful weather. We went and enjoyed our favorite place, the lake. On our way home, walking next to the main road that runs through the neighborhood.... a man stops his truck in the middle of traffic to tell me how gorgeous and well behaved my dog is. He complimented Duke a million times over (of course as Duke struts his stuff as we walk on.... Lol cracks me up! I swear he knows...). I thanked the man for all the nice compliments, and we continued going on our way.

Anyway, something so small and simple... but, it made my day and left me with a big smile on my face. I put my heart and soul into these dogs and their care/looks.... to hear a compliment on my passion.... it was nice.

I suppose he looks ok.....



After the walk:
Waiting for my SO to get home while cleaning leather equipment... he was bored.

Thank you! Yes, it was much needed! Especially since after this I had to come home and get my arms and hands destroyed while trying to change Storm's bandage. I swear I own a alligator, not a GSD puppy.

Duke is the only one at the moment that gives me some sanity! lol

I think so too! But then again, I may be a bit bias...

When out in public, we get stopped often.... being 85lbs, hairy, and very well mannered (and very serious).. he catches lots of attention. But this is the first time someone stopped in the middle of rush hour traffic to compliment any of my dogs. It was nice.
