I Liked His Response

We live in an area with moderate crime. the more the city encroaches on our suburb, the more crime we are having lately. We got Wolfie to deter criminals from wanting to enter our house. I am alone most nights, and feel safer with a GSD that makes a lot of threatening noise when people come around.
Last night, my hubby and I were on the couch watching tv. The front door is about 6 feet from where the couch is. Wolfie was on the other end of the room, 24 feet from the front door, behind the end table, sleeping. My oldest son decided it would be a fun idea to try and sneak up on us. He came in the front door so quietly that we didn't hear him come in. Wolfie did, though. He came charging out at full speed from behind that table, barking like he was going to kill whoever walked in that front door. As soon as he rounded the corner and saw who it was, he immediately turned it off. He came screeching to a halt, the tail started wagging a mile a minute, and he turned into a squirming pile of joy to see his big brother. We were very impressed that he was going to protect us, yet as soon as he recognized there was no threat, he shut it down. I have no idea why my 32 year old, who should know better thought it was a great idea to sneak into the house with a GSD!

Excellent!! Wolfie is such a fine representative of the breed, (and scary smart too!).

Bet your son won't try that trick again!

My son was more than a little scared and surprised that Wolfie came at him so aggressively.
