My furry Angel rescued me

All my life I had wanted a dog and around 12yrs ago at a local shelter I met my beautiful german sheperd mix. Walking back into the dog room He was the only one not barking. Like me he seemed to feel alone in the world. I knew we were supposed to be a family. The shy little puppy who was so afraid never barking at anyone just as I never talk to anyone being shy myself... 12yrs later he is still so precious to me. He in many ways rescued me. Nothing in this world will love you so unconditionally and loyally as your dog. He has proved it. he is my special little guy. I have so many great stories of our life together. Nothing can come close to the comfort He gives. When I am sad (depressed mostly) He comes to me to put his head on me and looks into my eyes as if to say it's alright. that is what love I believe that dogs are the only beings in the world that love their people more then themselves.

I feel the same way about my girl (though I've only had her for two years). It's so great to hear about the love between you and your boy. It sounds like the two of you are truly blessed to have found one another.
