Could be he sensed you were feeling poorly and thought if you engaged with him in play, you'd feel better.

Daisy as I have said befor seemed to alert others when I was going into a Hypoglycemic reaction. She barked at the neighbor until he saw me on tractor kind of passed out. Lucky I never thought noticed but he stays next to me when it happens..

If dogs know when we are sick mine seemed to think jumping into bed, landing on my stomach, and dropping a full can of pepsi on my head was the best medicine when I was sick. Maybe dogs do know when we are sick since the signs are obvious enough that humans can tell, but I don't think all of them care. Just like people.

dogs have a crazy sense of smell as well as instinct. It seems when Im sick Penny leaves me alone. Normally she is a typical pup lots of energy, loves to play, begs to go out and go to the park. But when im sick she is different, very mellow. Is this random very maybe but I think she can read my mood and adapt to how I feel.

Finn starts bugging my Hubby when his blood sugar is out of wack. He won't leave him alone until he fixes it. If Hubby is sleeping, he will lick his face and whine incessently.
