Default thief!

Sage is a thief. She always has been, but we thought when she got older that she would outgrow it.

Well, the girl is two and a half, and still steals everything that is not nailed down in this house. Luckily she doesn't tear anything up, just relocates it.

We have a dog door, so most of her stolen goods end up in the dog yard. I've found clothes, shoes, hangers, towels, bathroom rug, pillows all out in the yard. She usually lines shoes up, which is kind of funny.

I couldn't find my shoes on Christmas. I looked out the dog door, and yep. There they are, all lined up nice and neat, in the snow.

Her latest?

Coconut hand cream, and a KINDLE. In the yard.

Gotta love her!

why would she outgrow it? the older she gets the better she
gets at doing it. "you gotta love her and you gotta train her".

Agree with doggie dad, but I did have to laugh pretty hard first.

Oh, and decorating at my house? All done with dogs in mind.

"Beautiful vase. That would look so good on the hearth! Oh, yeah, dogs. Some nosy dog would knock it over and break it. Never mind."

Decorative pillows on the chairs? HA!
TV remotes are hidden in a box that looks like a book on the end table.

And then I went and bought a Siamese kitten. Part monkey, part weasel. All trouble...

Yes. The Kindle. In it's nice little leather cover. Crazy dog.

1. If I like it, it's mine.
2. If it's in my mouth, it's mine.
3. If I can take it from you, it's mine.
4. If I had it a little while ago, it's mine.
5. If it's mine, it must never appear to be yours in any way.
6. If I'm chewing something up, all the pieces are mine.
7. If it just looks like mine, it's mine.
8. If I saw it first, it's mine.
9. If you are playing with something and you put it down, it automatically becomes mine.
10. If it's broken, it's yours.

Those sound like Carly's rules for Sage. According to Carly, everything belongs to her. Especially that new pig toy that I bought for Sage this week while Carly was at her breeders house.

I bought Lisl a piggy toy made of some sort of tough rubber with a noise device inside that sounds just like a pig grunting when you squeeze it.

She loves it.
