So, my mom hasn't ever cared for dogs and certainty never wanted to own one which is why I was always denied as a kid. (She's scared of dogs. Especially big ones) When I moved out I got a GSD. Needless to say, my mom was less than thrilled and didn't want him in her yard, at her house, or even to be around him. She said he looked at her like he wanted to bite her.
Well one thing led to another and I had to take him and tie him in her yard. 2 months later..he's in her house playing with her and she's giving him treats when he 'speaks' to her. It makes me so happy for my mom and my dog that they can get along like that! |

That's awesome. I had a similar experience with my grandmother who's terrified of dogs, I had to run some errands this summer and had to leave Gaia at her house. When I got back she was no where to be found, I almost lost it went inside and there's Gaia laying at my nans feet, chowing down on some roast beef, she brought her inside because she thought she looked lonely.
We have some pretty powerful dogs.

My grandparents were similar to your mom, then they drove me to get my male 2 years ago(man, it's been that long!?).. they were pretty indifferent then, but I had to go on a business trip to Vegas last January last minute.. my grandparents ended up watching him and fell in LOVE. I guess he'd lay at their bed all night and wouldn't let them out of his sight.

Yep that is the power of puppy eyes and I think personally GSDs espesially have that times 10. Glad to hear there's snother canine convert.
