You are in my prayers for a full recovery. Good that you get to go home before Christmas.
I think Teddy will sense you need some tlc and treat you with kid gloves!
Rest well so you can get well.

My husband was in hospital for a month and had huge abdominal wounds when he came home. We had concerns about Havoc jumping on him and we were pleasantly surprised when after the initial excitement, Havoc seemed to understand his dad's fragile state. Be careful but Teddy may surprise you.

I'm so sorry to hear about your cancer, I hope you'll be feeling better and better each day now that you're home!!!

I've had several surgeries in my stomah area and I protected the surgical sites with a pillow that I put in from of my stomach "just in case" one of the Hooligans accidentally hit me with their head. I had surgery on the back of my leg in August along with a skin graft so I had two sites I had to be extra careful of ... I carried something that I could put down by my leg to keep the Hooligans back while I was walking and I would put my hand over the area where they took the skin graft ... I looked like the Hunchback of Notre Dame when I was walking with them BUT it worked without any problems.

GOOD LUCK!!!

Teddy will be just what the Dr. ordered
He will fill your healing body with lots of happiness.

You will be naturally protecting yourself like crazy so he doesn't pounce on you!

I bet your family will be so happy to have you home for the holidays.

I, too, think Teddy will know you're in a fragile state and will instinctively be careful.
Merry Christmas, Jo, and I'm so sorry for the troubles you've been having
