The Vet Was "Wolfied"
Wolfie has an ear infection. I took him to the vet on Monday to make sure, but from the experiences I have had with my previous GSD, I knew what it was. Wolfie hates having anything done to him. I tried to look at his ears and he cries and struggles and shows teeth. He was in pain. I told the vet, who was a different vet than we normally see, that she would probably have to muzzle him to be able to get a good look in his ears. She put the muzzle on him, and without a pause, Wolfie used his two paws like hands, gripping with his toes, and pulled the muzzle down off of his face. The vet could not believe it. She said she has never seen a dog actually use his toes like fingers and grip like that. I put the muzzle back on him and he left it on, another vet tech came in to help. All we had to do was calmly talk to him while the vet checked out his ears and took cultures. While we were waiting for the la result, the techs all came in the room and played with Wolfie. The vet asked me what kind of GSD Wolfie is because he doesn't look American. She said she loves his straighter and wider hips and rear end, and that he should not have any problems with his hips because of it. She also said that he was one of the most intelligent dogs that she has ever encountered. She said that you can see the wheels turning in his brain and he looks like he is constantly plotting something. LOL! So, he is on antibiotics for a yeast infection in his ears. The vet said he had an allergic reation to something he got into and that caused the infection. As his ears feel better, he is much better about me touching his ears again. Poor baby.

You had better tell them to back off Wolfie!!! He is mine!!! Well, should something happen to you of course.
Not feeling well on his birthday..poor babe.
