Ava is having PDA heart surgery today

I just dropped off Ava this morning to have heart surgery for PDA. Of course I focus entirely on other outcomes because I'm freaking out underneath my calm exterior that I need for work. I should know by or around noon how she is. Please send positive thoughts to her and for me!! Thanks everyone!

so it's almost noon. haven't heard back. don't want to breath down the surgeon's neck. he has been incredibly patient and i am confident in his ability. but man, waiting is horrible.

sooo...the the doctor/surgeon/vet just called! he said everything went as smoothly as one could want. she did fine under anesthesia, he closed off the duct, no bleeding out, etc. they are keeping her under observation and will call me tomorrow to see if we can take her home based on how well she is doing.

YEA! Thanks for everyone's thoughts and prayers. They worked!!
