My two dogs and I were on a walk yesterday and they were both off leash and about 50 feet in front of me. We were on a trail alongside a small river that is starting to ice over. Well, there must have been some ice in the trees because I suddenly heard a crash and a big branch fell down right next to me and I shrieked! My old Golden just looked back at me and kept on his merry way...but my 11 month old GSD came rocketing back to me with great concern for my well being. After inspecting me with some heavy duty sniffing, he proceeded to attack the tree branch that caused his mama distress. Within a minute, the offending tree branch had been taught a lesson and will not be bothering anyone else!

Hey, those tree branches are treacherous. You're lucky he was along. You'd think it was over, walk away and BOOM...the branch nails you when you weren't looking. Good dog.
