I love life in general regardless what size it takes it from the smallest critter to the biggest. Hence I do have 6 feral cats that we got fixed that live in my back yard that I feed, a chinchilla, and now my 2nd GSD. So to the story, introduction within two species its kinda of difficult at times specially when specific dog breeds have high prey drive. So I decided to start early with my Lexi. She was curious at what this big fuzzy thing was in the cage that seemed to be afraid of her for a second. Then it came close, as she was trying to smell him, he nipped her on the nose scaring the crap out of her. The chinchilla usually nips at us to, out of curiosity like a puppy. But it taught her how to go sit far enough and watch the white puffball in the cage from a distance. My previous shepherd didn't care he would let it run all over him without budging, so I am curious on how the desensitization with the cats is going to go. Since they are naturally afraid because we got coyotes around.
