I feel your pain....I tested my 7.5 month old last Saturday. Left him sleeping in the living room, snuck out (I even got down on my hands and knees to look under the door for a few minutes to make sure he didn't hear me) to run a 1/4 mile down the road to pick up DD from the barn (in the CAR even) and when I got home?

The book I'd left on the couch, "For the Love of a Dog", was missing 30 pages out of the middle, which he'd happily shredded for me. I say happily, because he sure looked happy when I walked in.

Ha ha!! I didn't even mean to leave the book, lol. Good lesson for my kids though, because I couldn't even get mad. He wasn't doing anything by then, just sitting in the middle like a benevolent king. They stood stock still and looked at me to see what I would do. I just sunk down on my knees and started picking up the pieces, hoping by some crazy miracle I could tape it back together.

AS IF.
