Default The Heavy Breathing In The Middle Of The Night

Hubby has just been promoted to Lieutenant. The bad part of the promotion is that he is low man on the totem pole, which he hasn't been for a long time, so he gets the midnight shift for a while. Last night, I wake up with a start at 3 am. I am hearing very heavy breathing that sounds like it is coming from the master bath area. It's very scary sounding. I am panicking because I can't figure how this person got by Wolfie, who sleeps in the hallway, without waking me or my son in the other room up. I put the light on. Obviously, no one is in the room, and the breathing suddenly stops. I shut the light off, after walking around the room, the bathroom and the closet. Figuring it was a dream, I settle back in bed, and 5 minutes later, the breathing starts again. It isn't the rhythmical breathing of sleep and not snoring, either. It's like a lecherous heavy breather on the phone, and it's loud. This time, I walk around in the dark, and finally pinpoint the cause. Wolfie has his nose wedged under the corner of the bedroom door, and he's sniffing, just one sniff and then a pause, then another sniff. The way his nose was positioned, it was making the sound magnify in the room. I had to text Hubby at work, and tell him and we had a good laugh over it. Silly dog!

LOL! My lab does that to me all the time. When I worked at a dog daycare and would leave him out in the group, he would literally move from door to door as I walked the facility, following my scent and sniiffing loudly. Everyone would joke about my creepy stalker.
