okay, so my friends dog's parents have pedigrees and are ckc registered. can my friend get her dog's pedigree too since her shepherd doesn't have one, but is ckc registered??

If I'm understanding this correctly and you are talking about Canadian Kennel Club, then yes you can get the pedigree. You just need to go to the CKC website and request it to be mailed to you, although it's kind of expensive imo.
