Default My rude awakening

You know.

Beau at 6 months is a cross between a tasmanian devil and a whirling dirvish. Last night I crashed early because we have had a weekend long certification test and at day two I was exhausted. Cold and wet weekend did not help.

So at about midnight my husband takes him out. Between the rain and not picking up the poo this weekend (I was gone) Beau clearly got some on his feet.

How do I know? Because when my husband opened the door guess who came careening into our bedroom and jumped on me in the bed dog with a wet coat from the rain and the poo on his feet and all (Oh, yes he is NOT allowed on the bed).

The sheets, the pillowcases, the comforter, the nightgown.....all had to come off! And having about 60 pounds land on top of you while soundly asleep......what a way to wake up!

Nancy, years ago, da Vinci my 1st Irish Wolfhound, careened into the bed next to me & I awoke to this gawdawful stench. Struggling out of a deep sleep I soon realized it was smeared across the sheets & pillows as well as all over da V's back end. What to do but wake up & deal with it....Getting up I realized there was a trail down the hall, splattered on the stairs & dribbled across the kitchen floor. I cleaned it up just thankful it wasn't even worse. Then I opened the door to the boot porch. My guy had gone through the dog door & dumped what appeared to be at least 5 lbs of raw, reeking sewage on the rough wooden floor with reallly wide, deep cracks b/w its individual boards. It took all night to clean up & I was so immersed in the stench I couldn't tell begin to tell how badly the porch still smelled.

Stress, particularly heat & humidity, gave da Vinci violent, EXPLOSIVE diarrhea. Unfortunately, his temperament was a bit wonky & his back end firing like a mutant cannon scared the beejeebers out of him so he'd bolt, literally trying to flee his own machine gun butt!

Loved that guy. Loved him madly & will never forget him...Nor will I forget his 'issues' which while relatively mild manifested badly.

Looong way of saying, I feel for you. I really do.
