Default Bruiser's a Hero...in my eyes

I went skiing today with a friend for about 8 miles. I just started training Bruiser in skijorning and he has been doing very well. We were about half way when my friends blood sugar dropped dangerously low. My friend wasn't sure if he could continue but we had about 4 miles left and just had to keep going. He had some protein bars and stopped to rest and I told him just to hold on to Bruiser and wait until I was out of sight and then help Bruiser a little and he would follow my trail and pull him until he caught up with me. Then he and Bruiser could rest and I would continue breaking trail and then they could start again and catch up with me as before. Bruiser pulled my friend about 4 miles who was probably over 200 lbs. while Bruiser is only 115 lbs. but very strong. We all made it back safe and Bruiser is already running around the yard again and fine and so is my friend. He didn't think he would have made it back without Bruiser's help and it would have taken forever.

I LOVE MY GSD BRUISER HE IS TOTALLY AMAZING IN EVERYWAY:w ub:

Skijoring is when your dog wears a harness and you wear a harness and he pulls you on skis...thanks for your comment

Oh, ok, gotcha! No wonder I don't know about it -- it means you are outside in cold and snow AND have big things strapped to your feet. Such a bad combination for an uncoordinated wimp like me. I'm pretty healthy, and I'd even need your big boy to rescue me. Ah, what a great boy he is.
