A friend of mine had a little red and white Border Collie that loved to play baby. She'd be quiet and still while cradled in one's arms. Otherwise it was Border Collie normalcy, a simmering vat of go-go-go.
My dad was the same way. He was a drill instructor in the Army and he was a bit flinty. Get him near a dog and he was mushy as oatmeal. He connected well with dogs. Like I said, he was a hard one and was abrasive with people. Yet, even consider harming one of his animals and he'd go off. I learned early and without any doubt that treating animals with respect and care was the ONLY option. I owe him a lot for that life lesson.

LOL thats so much like hubby. Other people think he looks "hard and unapproachable" yet dogs run to him and flip on their backs tail wagging for belly rubs hes such a big sucker with dogs.

Hmm no clue why I never saw the additional comments. Shawn we definitely got the goofball litter, bunch of weirdos haha.
Debbie I definitely got taught a new trick.. I just wish she would use positive reinforcement... then she could train me with M&M's
