So a six year old Weimaraner ended up in a German rescue. The dog is worked as Mantrailer since he's one year old BUT he doesn't like strangers when he's on a walk and he can be off leash as long as you don't encounter any strangers or dogs...
How the heck has he worked in SAR if he doesn't like strange people at all? ![]() I was told that it is a Weimaraner thing that they don't like strangers but as soon as they work they don't care about that anymore... now I don't have experience with the breed but it sure is an interesting story... |

Well, there are a lot of dogs "working in SAR" that are not really - they seem to always show up when we have a search and offer their services. No certs, no known history or team affiliation........who knows?
