Default Ewwwwww....

Went shopping today, for a couple hours. No biggy. Sheldon was left in his crate (as usual). Weelll...we get back, and our noses are assaulted by the smell of poop...he had diarrhea, and poor pup had gone bonkers trying to get out..but messed a HUGE mess in his crate =[ so we let him out, gave him a bath while SO cleaned the crate (with enzymes too, no worries). I feel so bad though...at least he tried to get out, which gives me hope that this won't set him back any.

Aww, poor puppy! At least you're a good owner who cleans him up, and the cage! I think he'll be okay with the crate training, and I don't think it will set him back.

I knooow. I think he may have gotten a sliver of chocolate from when we were watching a friend's 2 year old....Only thing I can think of that would make him so sick so fast, then all of a sudden all better xD He tried to poop inside at my parents house just now...but we were able to stop him (that's usually where he has his accidents...not sure why though).

Your story reminds me of when we used to keep our dog in the mud room. It had no door so my husband installed 2 baby gates, one on top of the other. My dog was sick one day and scaled the 2 gates to get out. I was scared he could have gotten really hurt, so now we have him in the doggy proof basement room.

Hope Sheldon is feeling better.

I let my boy induldge in a huge raw marrow bone before (I now know the marrow is super rich) and he got awful runs in his crate while we were gone. I felt so bad for him because I know he did not want to go in his crate & was stressed about having to sit in it

Our Jack did this once. Except he escaped his crate, which I guess is a good thing for him, poor guy. But the mess was EVERYWHERE. Literally had to clean the walls.....ew. We figured out it was the corn in his dog food (he was eating nutro). He's been corn free ever since.

Max did this twice. Once we caught him in time and once we were not there. Pretty sure both times were because he got some fat or bone marrow, more than he could handle at the time. Messy beaucoup

yeah...he's sort of an obsessive eater. If he can reach it, he'll probably try to eat it. He's gotten better, but has been backsliding a little bit lately. We'll just keep a super eye out for him, like we've been doing. soooo glad we got incense while we were out xD
