Default I love my vet!

She's a country vet, with a small clinic on her land, a couple miles down a one-lane road. I called and said Rey needed weighed before her next Interceptor dose and I was a bit concerned about what I thought looked like a pink spot on her spay incision. I warned that Rey had been behaving "reactive" to new people and new dogs. When it's a dire emergency requiring higher tech diagnostics, I have to take my dogs to a bigger facility, but for vaccinations, routine care and labs, etc., I wouldn't trade my vet for anyone! She knew exactly how to handle things. When I got there, she had her dog and a boarder outside in a fenced area, and her assistant called me on the cell to tell me when all was clear from the previous appointment. Rey barked from the car and all the hair stood on her back at the dogs in the fenced area, but she got out and followed along with me on-leash and sat quietly in the lobby. They opened the half-door to the exam rooms area and my vet, her assistant and I all sat down on the floor in an exam room and talked like Rey wasn't there. Rey snuggled up to me, I told her to sit, she did and I ruffled her mane with my hands. Then she sniffed the vet, stood up to look out the window over my vet's head and my vet got a good look at her incision site, which was fine. I led her to the floor scales, pointed and told her to sit. On the way out down the road, some dogs in a yard chased the car a bit and Rey barked at them. By then, I think she was beginning to enjoy this dogs and car game.

Nice story! A good vet is worth her weight in gold.
