Default What a butthead!!

So Sheldon is usually VERY good about what he chews on. He sticks to his toys, but occasionally gets a hold of one of my hats (it's out of his reach now). Lately, he's decided cords are a delicacy...He chewed one phone cord yesterday, and was put in time out (in his crate, door open, not allowed out). He was alright for the rest of the day, save for a few 'I'm not listening' moments. Then, this morning he tried chewing up the power cord to the brand new tv...time out again. Thinking about upping up exercise, even though yesterday he played with my brother's pit for about 6 hours (practically non-stop). Evil teenager phase xP

Daisy went through the power cord phase. Her last bite was into an extension cord that was powering my husbands circular saw. She got a small zap-as I was scrambling and yelling at my husband who had his back to her. She had gotten through the baby gate on the steps to keep her away from the power tools usuage area. Ah the good times. Sheldon will outgrow it .Sounds like you have a good routine down with him. His ability to stay sounds very good. The exercise idea sounds good to as a sleeping adolescent dog is good dog.

Lmao, I wish that would help shel...but he doesn't quite get when something zaps him anymore (our carpet is a monster for producing static...). His stay is only good because he KNOWS he's in trouble. We've never hit him, raised our voices too much or anything, but he knows when he's done wrong, and doesn't try to test us much (and when he does, he gets told to lay down). Can't wait for this stage to end...xD
