Tomorrow is a week, and she's getting comfortable, less frightened, working into my daily routine with longer outdoor leash walks in the yard between crating. She'd doing much better on walks outside. Her and Buddy sniff, eat grass, bite leaves together. Buddy forgave her for the nip on the nose on day one, but I leave him off leash (he's completely trustable) and Rey on leash so if she plays too much/rough he can walk away, which he does. She's learning "no bites," because she chews on my grandkids' wood chair on the porch, wants to puppy-chew on me, on Buddy, on her leash - you name it. She was chewing on the dried up oregano in a pot on my porch when I realized that was "no bites," too (don't want that in the spring and summer when I'm growing it). I have a big beef knucklebone boiling on the stove right now to occupy Miss Chewy today. Let's just say she needs more short periods of time on leash in the house before trying to get her settle for a hour or so in my office while I work. She joyfully pulled the curtains off my window lights from the door and thought it much fun to try to play tug-o-war with me over them. I realized what she was doing and let them go, at which point she lost interest. And I forced myself not to laugh.

She is a little landshark, as for the bone they are best for them uncooked or raw. When they are cooked they can splinter or break easily and that is not good for her. She sounds like she is keeping you on your toes.

One day later, I regret the huge soup bone I gave Reyka. She woke me up whining at 8:30 a.m. (our normal routine is about 10:00 a.m. since I work 2nd), but I knew it was an urgent "request" whine (how do we know these things?). Poor girl ate so much of the meat on that bone and bone that she needed to go out early. Took her out and she promptly pooed, went back to bed, at 10:00 did the morning feeding and took her back out and I don't know how one 49 pounds dog could have that much poo in her. Rey, Buddy and I walked a good hour around the yard until I was sure she was done and let her expend some energy. Next time, the smaller bison bone that Feeders Supply carries. Just trying to keep her busy with something to chew besides her bed in the crate between walks outside. Her leash and yard behavior has dramatically improved in a week and I don't want to overwhelm her with too much too soon. The last two days, I actually got her to quietly lay beside me on the porch after walks. That is a HUGE improvement for this little wild child.
