So two days ago we had to get Ruger in to the vet and have him x-rayed.
He'd been limping on and off for a few weeks, we kept thinking pano, but it wasn't moving about the way pano does. The vet x-rayed his elbows and his right elbow has some arthritic changes, she suspects an injury (or sepsis but he wasn't sick). He's on pain meds and some glucosamine supplements for now. Anyway, we picked him up yesterday as they overnighted him, he was drowsy when we went Thursday so we got him Friday AM. He smelled so badly like pee, and we were up in Yakima all day waiting for two fosters who needed procedures done at the vet up there. So we found a groomer to bathe Ruger and get that awful pee smell off him. After his bath we got him and went to Petco where we ran into a gal who was interested in Ruger, explaining she had a "SHEP A DOODLE" and so she told her son, "This is what our dog's mommy looked like!" They had brought the dog in to be groomed. I saw it. Seriously. A "Shep a Doodle". I was nauseated

I keep looking at Frank and imagining him with real curly hair like a poodle and laughing, why would anyone do that!
