I bought my GSD 4months old, she is now 8 months and has been sleeping with me in bed for around 2-3 months. Past few nights!!! she pulled a silly.. Sheis always on bed while i brushing teeth or something, i get into bed, slide feet under her butt to say MOVE!!! .. she usually moves and curls up and sits at end of bed.. 2 days in a row when I have done that she had layed down beside me with head on my chest ... last night with nose in my ear lol ... funny dog

That's funny .However, I must say the thought of a dog in my bed disgusts me.

when it's bedtime i can say in an animated
voice "it's sleepy time" (sounds like sheepy time)
and our dog will go to our bedroom and sit bedside
our bed or go to his that's in our bedroom and lay down
and wait for us to settle in the bed. once we're settle in
he'll jump on the bed and curl up at the foot of the bed.

I used to think that too, but my rescue started to sleep at the foot of my bed recently and I must say that having a 60lb furball warming your tootsies during the winter months is a treat

LOL- I just started sleeping with Dooney at night- at 85 pounds she takes up A LOT of the bed. She will hop in the bed before I do and lay across all of the pillows and look at me and "grin" I will put my hands on my hips and ask her "are you supposed to be there?" she will pounce down to the end of the bed where she will sleep for a while, then she jumps down on the floor until it is time to snuggle in the morning

Nova's got a dog bed in my room and thats where she sleeps. I just think about the dog hair, dander, dirt, poo berries, dirty feet and all the stuff they could have been rolling in etc and it's enough to make me grossed out. bleh. I like the idea of Nova sleeping in my bed but just can't get past it.

I have a sheet over my normal blanket and a small blankie that Puddi sleeps on so I can easily wash it every couple of days. No worries about dirt/poo/dander.
