Default :gsdhead: Stella decided to pout

Last night my husband and I were in the family room playing a little bit with Stella and watching TV.

She started to get worked up and just decided to start barking. We ignored the barking, played with her a bit more to distract her and she started barking at us again.

We decided to ignore her and then my cat Figgy walks in the room. She was thrilled to see him and went bounding over to him and went to play with him with her paws. She gets a little rough with her paws sometimes, so I said in a somewhat loud voice and sternly....NO!

She turns around, looks at me....then jumps on the couch next to where I was sitting and started to pout. Well my husband and I could not help but laugh. I said, Oh my, she is only 10.5 months old and she is already playing me. Of course I had to take some pics.

Does anyone else's GSD pout?

They don't pout exactly. More like hang their head and sulk in the corner. They are total guilt-trippers

Rio, my late GSD had a different temperament than Stella. She always seemed to looked depressed. I got her as a rescue when she was about 4 or 5 months old and she always seemed to be down. It made me feel guilty sometimes.

I don't think she was abused before I got her. She was a bit head shy, but not overly so, and she was a bit fearful sometimes of noise, etc.

Even my friends would say...why does Rio look so depressed? Yet, she was not unhappy. I guess it was her demeanor and expression.

Too cute Echo prefers the "oh yeah? What are you going to do about it?" face
