I find it incredible how attached dogs can get to each other. I remember when I first brought Versailles home, my lab Bailey, who is usually exuberant whenever I walk through the door, took one look at her and turned around and walked the other way. He gave me the cold shoulder for almost two weeks, and then FINALLY started to come around.
This was Bailey when Versailles was around 8 or 9 weeks old (I got her around 6 1/2 weeks I believe). He has really gotten attached to her. They are best buds, romp around together all the time, and he TRIES to keep up with her... labs aren't meant for tug-o-war, but man is he trying! This is them last week. She definitely is the little sister, totally bothers her big brother to no end, but he loves her anyways. I just love looking back and comparing... adorable. I know the issue with puppies is you don't want them loving their playmate more than you, and I know that both my dogs put me above anything else, and I love them both to death!
