Thursday night, as I was preparing for our weekend away my cell phone crashed, it had been turning itself off and this time it wouldn't come back on. I took my old phone out and called verizon to activate it. I had already spoken to my petsitter and told her I was having trouble with my phone. I later realized my petsitters phone number wasn't in my old phone. On top of the pet sitting instructions I clipped her money and a note "please call me when you can I don't have your number anymore" and that I had to go get a new phone. Ok well I kept checking my phone, no call from her. I assumed all was fine but I just wanted to hear her voice. Saturday morning I started to get into a tissy, did she remember I was going this weekend? I texted a mutual friend at 9am, woke her up, she gave me a number. It rang & rang, it must have been old & wrong. A while later I called her back and said "sorry did I wake you?" she said yeah but that was an hour ago. Turned out she was away also.
So by this time you can imagine what a hoot I was to hang out with. Then I had a great idea. She always stays on schedule, one of the reasons I really like her. I called my house phone when she was supposed to be feeding dinner and over the answering maching "Hi ----- if you hear this message, please call me, I don't have your number and I need to know you didn't forget my babies". I hung up and minute later my cell phone rang!!! She was sorry she didn't call me, everything was fine. Now I have "online back up" for my cell phone and I am going to print out a list.
