Default Mom Your Leaving?

I have to for work go out of town ,Im at a conference and seeing a friend. Ill be gone about 36 hrs. Lucky and Daisy seem to know when luggage comes out that usually means Uncle John,(dog sitter )is coming. Last night I started to get ready but did not get the luggage out till this am. Lucky who paces around when he sees it has been his usual self however took an hour this am before he saw the suitcase, His reaction was to lay across my doorway at my study and do sad puppy eyes. But shortly after his sight of the suitcase I found a friendly deposit from Lucky . He had went w/ me to pick up something from a crafter I had ordered this Saturday . I forgot and fed him before we left and on the ride he did not make any noises that sounded like upset stomach. I was very happy as we were on very windy roads w/ no directions. Mr Lucky often gets carsick so after an hour of stop and go country roads I was impressed.Well yesterday I smelt something bad ,like dead in my truck cab. I looked could not find any thing sprayed stuff, tore down seats and since it was dark I unknowingly missed alot . So I roll down windows to air it out and figure overnight will fix it.. This morning as I am trying to leave but smell is so bad I'm gagging. Pull up seat again and somehow he puked below the steel rod and the seat leg that allow you to fold the seat up . Now Lucky and daisy eat rice yogurt and chicken breasts w/ greens. The vomit made an Interesting travel gift, After an hour of cleanings I miss one appt and the day at work is shot.So now Im almost ready to go and I stopped home for lunch and my suitcase and to share my morning tale. So my question is twofold. Do you feel quilty when you leave your dogs? Two ,do you have a happy traveler who gets nauseaus and what do you do ?
Lucky and Daisy have their dad and the son w/ them today so no big difference but iIalways feel like who will make sure they play ,eat right and in general do it MY WAY?. Lucky I thought didnt notice my immient departure but now I wonder since he left a gift on Saturday if if he didnt read my schedule.(LOL) Ah gotta love him.He is stretched out in the hallway actually snozing maybe he feels better after watching me clean the car that he is indeed remembered.

Sorry you had to clean up puke. Sounds like a rough day.

I do feel guilty when I leave because Bunny is a drama queen. Every morning she does the sad eyes and acts depressed and I'm only going to work. She acts like the 8 hours I'm gone is going to be sheer torture when all she does if I'm home is lay around anyways.

I also feel badly if I go away on a holiday because hubby doesn't walk them as long as I do so I know they're bored.

I feel bad every time I leave her. I just get the "you will come back right look" from this one. My prior WGSD would lay on ANY clothes I had out to be packed and once I managed to get them packed she would drag my suitcase back to the closet! And I was always left a lovely "gift" by the front door so when I returned I was sure to find it- LOL.

Dooney gets sick on really curvy roads as well (has only happened twice) luckily we don't travel on those kinds of roads very much.

Poor dogs, they do miss up when we leave. I left Wolfie for the weekend last summer with my son, and this summer for 2 days with hubby and son. Both times he wouldnt eat until I came home. He used to get carsick too. I bought him Happy Traveller car sick pills and they worked great. This year, he hasn't got car sick at all.
