Martini Update

From my sister.....
First Martini Update of the Day: I just spoke with the vet, and he said he's not ready to give up on her yet! She threw up once overnight, which means her system is still toxic from the kidneys not working properly, but he said she "peed a lot" this morning when they took her out, and her overall demeanor hadn't changed since yesterday (no worse), which was a good thing. So, they are going to do more blood work and see what her kidneys are doing, and continue to flush them with IV fluids and administer antibiotics today. I am going to have more information this afternoon around 2 PM after they get the blood work results back. More later... In the meantime, please keep praying for her! Thank you all for caring!

That's great news...!
One of our Dachshunds sustained kidney damage when he accidentally ate ibuprofen but he's doing wonderful and doesn't have many side effects from that.
We keep him on Avoderm "lite" with less protein than their regular foods, and within the range suggested by our vet.

I will keep Martini in my prayers. The fact that she is no worse is a good sign!!!
