Default Saying goodbye to Lexus tonight, I'm so sad.. (she's moving out.)

My son moved home a couple/few months ago after some troubles; I'll leave it at that.

He brought his dog, who'd lived with me before and is my pup's mom.

He was supposed to live with me thru the winter while he worked some things out in his life.

He's moving out... TONIGHT.

My heart is so sad. I've enjoyed having him home, cooking for him, having him here.. but of course a 22 yr old needs to be making a life for himself and not at mama's house..

I'M GOING TO MISS HIS DOG LIKE CRAZY!!!!!!! We spent every night together, playing frisbee, ball, you name it. I knew this day would come, but thought it would be a long time from now. Bailey will miss her so much, too.

Just feeling so down about it.

Love you, Lexus!!!!!!! There will be more than a few tears shed tonight. Ugh.

LOL as a mom (granted, only to an infant at the moment) it's hard to imagine the day when I'll miss his dog more than him and talk about what I did with his dog vs him. But, I'm sure in 21 yrs I'll be in the same place you're at (well, hopefully not quite the same place, it'd be nice if he didn't move home in the first place LOL)

I'm sorry, my son lived with us with his wife and my first grandchild was born during that year and a half they were here. I miss them all but I am surprised by how much I miss their dog, Spartacus, he is a pug and just adorable!
I hope your feeling better soon.

Awww, hugs! Even if we don't see eye to eye, I understand and sympathize. My 18 year old son recently moved out-it's been 3 weeks since he moved, and I was in tears all the next day.

Hopefully Lexus will be able to come visit you often. I wish my son had been able to take the cats with him when he left, but no such luck for me.

Isn't that terrible??? We just had an awesome, fun, nightly routine and now she'll be missing from it. I need to think positive - it's that much more time to devote to the other dogs. (convincing self, repeat, it will be a positive, repeat. Ooops. Isn't working.. she won't have the big yard anymore.. won't have someone to play frisbee with as much/long as I do.. won't have someone buying her yummy chews... repeat... MY dogs will benefit.. start over.)

Thank you. It is hard when they go. Well, the first time.. maybe even the second. No seriously it's scary no matter what. He's going back to the gf that kicked him out before... so he could be back. Sigh. I want the best for him and the best for Lexus. I will be visiting them often. More often than they might like, hehe.

I'm sorry your son is leaving so abruptly. I am sure you'll be missing his dog but sometimes it's easier to love/miss an extension of the child than the child themselves, and you'll feel so powerless about it all.
Hugs to you...
