So my little girl is now just past 10 months old. She gets along with my nephew very well, and hasn't done the nip thing in a long time. When my nephew, who is two, is on the deck with the rest of us, he has this desire to go over to the stairs, which is where we don't want him. So we have a gate there, but it's just a matter of time before he figures that out. When he goes to the gate we'll tell him "Jackson, come away from the gates." So Zandra has taken it up on her self now to "herd" or "usher" him away. She'll walk over, put herself between him and the gate, stick her nose in his face until he starts laughing, then gently nudge him away with her body.

That's great. I love it when dogs look out for kids. It makes me happy to hear little stories like this.
